35+ Action/Adventure Games & Updates Coming in March 2026

March is nearly here, and while Q1 of 2026 has seen some decent releases, this next month is finishing out the quarter with a bang of incredible games. From the big boy Triple A titles to your delightful little indies, I’ve made sure to include all our favorite picks on this list. Trust me, you’re bound to be busy all month long, and probably then some.

I'm going to start the article by talking about a few of my personal favorites for the month, then we’ll dive into some updates for previously released games that are blessing new consoles, and finally, we’ll finish it out with all the other amazing games that I think our community might adore playing. Please bear in mind that a lot of these games are for more mature audiences, so viewer discretion is advised. With all that said, grab your swords and trusty steeds and let’s dive into all the action and adventure gaming news for March.

TPF Top Picks

Chaotic, colorful art for Slay the Spire II featuring the Ironclad, Silent, and a new skeleton character surrounded by cards and monsters in the Spire.

As someone who sat and watched Derek play dozens of hours of Slay the Spire, I’m personally ecstatic that the second rendition is coming to early access for Steam on March 5th.

We’ll be stepping into the newly evolved Spire, aka a twisted labyrinth teeming with strange and deadly foes eager to take us down. You’ll need to adapt to an arsenal of brand new cards, relics, and potions, each offering game-changing possibilities—or dangerous consequences. Climb the Spire with both new and returning characters, each with their own cards, motives, and secrets. Brave the ascent on your own, or play with up to 4 players and face the Spire together in the all new co-op mode. Discover multiplayer-specific cards, powerful team synergies, and carry your friends (or get carried) to victory!

Ethereal game art for Solasta II showing a party of four fantasy adventurers standing on a rocky outcrop looking toward a glowing, magical purple portal.

One of the more exciting announcements during the last Game of the Year awards was the emergence of Solasta II. On March 12th, it’s launching into early access for PC, and boy, does it look good.

From the creators of Solasta: Crown of the Magister comes another intriguing tactical RPG faithful to the world's most popular TTRPG's ruleset. Create and guide your party of 4 adventurers as they head to the faraway continent of Neokos in a quest driven by their family legacy. Unlike more story-driven titles, though, this new opus will also allow you to freely roam the lands of Neokos, to explore and uncover the map as you will. Whether you stick to familiar roads, or head off into the wilderness... The choice is yours.

Personally, we’re going to be waiting till the full 1.0 launch to enjoy, as we want to experience the story all in one go, but if you were a fan of the Baldur’s Gate early access, then definitely check this one out.

Retro-style poster for John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando showing four armed survivors, a vehicle, and a massive horde of zombies under a full moon.

If you’re a fan of zombie shooters, then you’ll probably be excited to hear that John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando is launching for PC, PS5, Xbox S/X on March 12th.

Load up your gun solo, or squad up with up to 4 players to send the Sludge God and its undead horde back to hell. Get ready to cover each other’s backs, share ammo, revive your fallen friends, and enjoy the sheer chaos of this game. When faced with thousands of infected pouring towards you, get out your grenades, vehicles, and other devastating powers to take them out by the hundreds. Just … be mindful of your friends in the process. Or don’t, totally up to you. Powered by Saber’s Swarm engine, as seen in games like Warhammer 40k and World War Z, the horde quite literally never ends, so do what you can before you inevitably become zombie bait. As a lover of the old CoD zombie modes, this one is hitting that nostalgia fun factor for sure.

Stylized art for Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection featuring riders on winged, glowing orange and blue dragons locked in a dynamic aerial battle.

Monster Hunter Fans get ready for the new Stories 3: Twisted Reflections to come to PC, Switch 2, PS5, Xbox S/X on March 13th.

In this one, you’ll play as a ranger of Azuria working to balance escalating tensions between your home nation and the neighboring nation of Vermeil, all while uncovering the mystery of the twin Rathalos. While there will still be obvious battling, you’ll also be using conservation and habitat restoration to balance an ecosystem that’s slowly collapsing. Work to release hatched monsters back into the wild to raise your ecosystem rank, unlocking rare eggs, special monster skills, and even special monsters that will only appear once an environment is healthy again. With a significantly larger map and more verticality, there will be a ton to do and explore.

As someone who avidly enjoyed the more open environments of Monster Hunter Wilds, I might just be tempted to take on the high price tag and give this one a go this month too.

  • Releasing on March 13th for PC, PS5, Switch 2, and Xbox S/X

  • Steam Link

Vibrant anime-style art for The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin showing characters flying on creatures over a lush, detailed fantasy city and castle.

Our anime fans can celebrate as The Seven Deadly Sins Origins MMO will be coming to PC and PS5 on March 16th.

In it, we’ll get to explore a dynamic, open-world Britannia teeming with secrets, formidable monsters, and breathtaking landscapes. Build your team from a diverse roster of heroes, each with unique abilities, and uncover an original story set within The Seven Deadly Sins universe—exclusive to Origin. Battle alongside fan-favorite characters from across the series, transcending timelines and dimensions, and even meet new original heroes exclusive to the game. Outside of combat, enjoy more peaceful moments by going fishing, cooking meals, or simply exploring uncharted territories with your allies. Discover hidden dungeons, unearth rare treasures, and immerse yourself in a multiverse adventure unlike any other.

While I’ve never seen the series, I have to be honest, this game looks utterly amazing.

Colorful, blocky art for Everwind showing two adventurers on a floating island with airships and a wooden ship's wheel logo in a bright blue sky.

A game I’m particularly excited for is coming to Early Access on March 17th, and that’s Everwind. We played the demo of it during a previous Steam Next Fest and immediately fell in love.

While you might take a first glance and think Minecraft, instead, it’s a novel take on RPG and Sandbox Survival genre in First-Person-Perspective. Embark on an adventure solo, or with your friends - Step aboard your ship, a fortress that serves not just as your safe haven but also as your gateway to new adventures. This ship is more than just a vessel—it's your home in the skies, where you craft essential items that will aid you on your journeys. Battle with sword and shield, or take on a support role as an alchemist, combat choices and skill trees offer endless ways to customize your play style. When you’re ready, take on the dungeons and find valuable loot waiting for you at their end. With a fully destructible environment and hundreds of islands to explore, this one will offer entertainment for hours.

Game art for Crimson Desert featuring a gritty male warrior with blue face paint holding a sword and shield, set against a white and blood-red background.

My favorite coming this month by far is Crimson Desert, set to release for PC, PS5, and Xbox S/X on March 19th.

This single-player action adventure game from the same developers of Black Desert Online, is shaping up to be one of the best titles of the year. Step into the boots of Greymane Kliff and explore the open world of Pywel. Reunite with survivors, rebuild your fallen clan, and reclaim what’s rightfully yours. Acquire weapons like swords, spears, and bows, and wield powerful abilities and elemental enhancements in fast-paced, visceral battles. Visit bustling towns and quiet hamlets, explore forgotten ruins and shrines, gather resources, craft, hunt, and partake in the various activities of Pywel to also aid in your journey. This world is truly yours to explore with hundreds of paths for you to uncover. My favorite feature is by far the fact that you can saddle up your friendly neighborhood dragon and take to the skies. Perhaps you’ll even find yourself at the mystical gates of the Abyss, the only question is, are you going to find out what awaits you on the other side?

A big piece of news that we’re personally excited for is the release of Death Stranding 2 on PC, coming March 19th. Derek played through the first rendition and thoroughly enjoyed it, and while we don’t have a PS5 yet, now that it’ll be on PC, we might just pull the trigger and jump into it.

A cheerful orange fox with a blue cape jumps forward surrounded by colorful supporting characters and a whimsical floating world.

For those who are looking for something more playful to enjoy this month, the New Super Lucky’s Tale is set to launch on PS5 on March 26th. Hop into the tales of Lucky and enjoy some good ol’ platformer nostalgia in the beauty of 4k.
